The Marker Tag is mounted inside the detection zone of an antenna to verify continuous operation.
An HDX PIT tag is covered and revealed at timed intervals that are adjustable between 1 and 30 minutes.
Any gaps in the detection record will indicate a failure of the reader, antenna or power source.
The circuit runs up to a year on 3 AA batteries (lithium cells recommended for operation at low temperatures)
The Otter case is immersible to 100 feet. The Marker Tag will not work with FDX tags.
